Oxford Global Health Group
The Oxford Medical Mountains Mission 2008
Friday 6th June to Sunday 8th June 2008
Dear all,
Hello! We at the global health group HQ are planning a fund-raising
challenge walk next month in Wales (weekend of 6th - 8th June). This
year, we're raising money for a number of charities run by students,
including Oxford Book Transplant, and SAFER.
It'll be a stroll covering 28km through the exciting hills in the
Brecon Beacons, with beautiful weather, incredible food and lovely
company. 33 people took part in a similar walk last year, and we
raised over £1,500 for our charities!
The route this year will take about 10 hours on an easy pace. It
should be challenging, but perfectly suitable for everybody whether
you've done much hillwalking or not. (In fact if you do get too tired,
the committee are constitutionally-bound to carry you down).
We're going up on the Friday night, walking on Saturday and relaxing
with a BBQ on Sunday. The cost will be about £30 for everything,
including transport.
If you're interested, email me telling me if:
1. You're interested
2. You have a car and would like to drive (2hrs each way)
3. You'd be happy to raise at least £50 for the charities
Alternatively, if you like any more information (about anything), email me!
Hope to hear from lots of you soon.
Damien
